Definitely one of Romania’s oldest and most prestigious medical schools, once having a Nobel Laureate as one of the leaders of the university. From our brief visit to the university, we can say it’s a well administered university with an international reputation. There is a huge international buzz in Bucharest with students from around the world studying in the various faculties.
Generally we advise our clients to consider some of the smaller cities as their study destination, where the quality of life appears to be higher. Bucharest has it’s charm, but one has to look deep. Bucharest is a huge metropolis. Prices are high and there is traffic. A visit for 1 month is not the same as living there for 6 years! If you have a large budget, and can afford a really upmarket apartment and maybe even a car, then Bucharest may be tolerable.
